A fatica siamo riusciti ad arrivare dalla stazione al Rossini. Si fermavano ad osservare ogni cosa, ogni scorcio, persino le vetrine e i negozi con uno stupore che inteneriva. <b>Guardando quel che ci circonda con il loro sguardo, abbiamo riscoperto la bellezza a volte scontata dei luoghi che abitiamo<\/b>. Hanno deciso di trattenersi altri due giorni, rispetto a quanto programmato, proprio perch\u00e9 <b>perdutamente innamorati di questo frammento d\u2019Italia<\/b>. The bodies of the dancers glide, skim each other, creep, rise and fall on human scales, they build architectures of movement, are expressed in Gothic, fluid movements that fragment and dissolve, to regroup later following a gestural imperceptible call, yet rigorously mathematical, coded to perfection.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nothing is left to chance, if not the emotion perceived by the public, including the initial bewilderment of an artfully constructed &#8220;behind the scenes&#8221; and an originality sought at all costs in running and falling centers of impossible gravity. The acted out gestures, the plasticity of the bodies &#8211; surrounded by auras of pure energy &#8211; skim each other as flickering flames, shaving blades of light. The bodies seek each other out, find each other, lose each other, embrace and wrap themselves in tactile spirals, cells of one single creature in the making, pulsating, in a perpetual meiosis and mitosis of creativity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Possession&#8221; becomes Poetry. It is expressed through hands clasping each other, in the embrace of arched bodies that were just an instant before flying in a vibrant frenzy of whirling evolutions and daring flights.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When all is quiet and still, what remaing is the rapid breath of the dancer and the smiles.<br \/> ResExtensa presented the national premiere of &#8220;Mixed Bill&#8221; by Transitions Dance Company on April 19th and 20th in Teatro Rossini of Gioia del Colle, an evening length performance of three works choreographed by Tom Dale, Augusto Corrieri and Lauri Stallings: three different visions of dance to which &#8220;body and soul&#8221; were given by the twelve dancers: Hannah Cameron, Glynn Egerton-Read, Daisy Farris, Sarah Golding, Gregory Rosie, Rebecca Hall, Laura Ann Heywood, Robert Keates, Sarah Lee, Holly Preece, Silvia Rossi, Brian Solomon.<br \/> For Dale &#8220;Succession&#8221;, a performance declined in dance through the vast plains and complex grids, a space made alive and captured by the energy, the dynamism, the sensuality and the sculptoreal physicality of the twelve dancers. Simplicity and freshness in the costumes of Berit Laageide, knowing empathy in the lights by Karsten Tinapp, and electronic music to give voice to the dance movement.<br \/> For Augusto Corrieri in &#8220;Piece for 12 dancers 17 trees&#8221; &#8211; costumes by Lucy Reeves and light design by Andy Hammond and the unusual choice of music, &#8220;The Conversation (1974). Corrieri&#8217;s vision is intriguing, filled with clues and provocations, at times subversive and disorienting by eliminating the coordinates of a quite articulate code of theatrical understanding. Finally, in &#8220;You may be my brother&#8221; Lauri Stallings &#8211; costumes by Suzie Holmes costumes and lights by Fay Patterson &#8211; a true apotheosis of vibrant eclecticism through extremely suggestive filmic frames. The dancers &#8220;act&#8221; the movement and narrate through complex body architectures, with the complicity of the music of Beirut, Benoit Pioulard, Senking, Loscil and Boris Kovac.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The cultural attache of the City of Gioia del Colle, Piera De Giorgi, in thanking Elisa Barucchieri and ResExtensa for this opportunity of growth and visibility offered to the City, expressed her sincere appreciation for Elisa and ResExtensa&#8217;s dedication and perseverance in making the Theater a lived, vibrant space. &#8220;It is exciting to see the name of Gioia del Colle and Rossini Theater in a project with such a large and international breath. Our theater is inserted in the thirteen steps of the 2013 tour, next to the Valle of Rome, the Soler Conservatory of Madrid, the Mermaid in Ireland and the most prestigious theaters in the UK. &#8220;Elisa &#8211; even if quite proven, supported by the enthusiasm and positive energy of those who surround her &#8211; brings her experience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The dancers really enjoyed the smells, the colors, the light, every corner of Gioia del Colle and Apulia. It took us time to get from the train station to the theater. They stopped to observe every thing, every corner, even the windows and shops with a heart warming awe. By looking at what surrounds us through their eyes, we rediscovered that beauty that sometimes we take for granted, of the places we inhabit. They decided to stay two days more than planned, taken by this piece of Italy. They might decide to return on vacation, thanks to this experience, and perhaps will infect others with their enthusiasm.
